ATD RMC Instructional Design SIG

Presents:

Baking Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion into Instructional Design

Today more than ever, eyes are on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) everywhere. As Instructional Designers we have an opportunity to model DEI best practices to our colleagues, leadership, and clients in the questions we ask, the courses we design, and the materials we provide. Using the ADDIE model, this will be a conversation about how to ensure that inclusion is top-of-mind from the very beginning of a project through to its deliver. Bring your ideas and experience with you - has this been a consideration for you in the past? What has (and hasn't) worked? What are some of the ways you have approached this?

Note: this session is not about designing DEI training, but having an awareness of DEI as we design our programs.
