About the Conference

Join ATD Rocky Mountain Chapter for a full-day experience designed to inspire, connect, and equip talent development professionals across Colorado and Wyoming.

The ATD Rocky Mountain Chapter Conference is dedicated to fostering connection, and professional growth to develop your skills for the future. By bringing together regional professionals from diverse industries and backgrounds, our aim is to create a one-day learning experience targeting personal, career and organization development. 

This year’s theme — Rooted in Connection: Resilience and Growth in the Evolving Workplace — explores how strong connections foster resilience, adaptability, and professional growth in today’s changing work environment.

With a dynamic keynote, engaging breakout sessions, and meaningful networking opportunities, this event is a must for anyone invested in elevating people and performance.

    Join us for a full day of learning, connection, and inspiration on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the University of Denver’s Joy Burns Center.

    Start Time: 8:00 AM – Breakfast & Registration
    End Time: 6:00 PM – Networking Happy Hour concludes

    The day will feature:

      • Breakfast and Welcome - 8:00-8:45 AM
      • Keynote Address – 9:00–10:00 AM
      • Three rounds of breakout sessions
      • Networking activity visiting sponsors — with a chance to win raffle prizes (some valued over $700!)
      • Lunch – 12:00–12:45 PM
      • Panel Discussion – 12:45–1:30 PM
      • Happy Hour – 5:00–6:00 PM

     Keynote Speaker: Monique Russell

    Rooted in Connection: Communication for Resilience, Growth, and Impact

    We are thrilled to welcome Monique Russell as our 2025 ATD RMC Conference Keynote Speaker!

    As a Global Communication Strategist and Emotional Intelligence Educator, Monique Russell brings over two decades of international experience helping leaders and organizations lead with clarity, connection, and courage — especially during times of change. Through her consultancy, Clear Communication Solutions, Monique has empowered teams across the U.S., Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Middle East to communicate in ways that build trust, inspire action, and support well-being.

    Monique’s keynote will explore how communication practices rooted in emotional intelligence can elevate how we grow talentbuild culture, and lead change — the three central tracks of this year’s conference. With warmth, insight, and storytelling, she’ll challenge us to see communication not just as a tool, but as a daily practice of empathy, self-awareness, and connection.

    Her client list includes BMW, Google, Amazon, the CDC, and Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, and her work has been featured in Fast Company. She is also the author of The Ultimate Speaker’s Guide and Intentional Motherhood, and host of the Bridge to U podcast.

    Monique’s presence sets the tone for a day of learning, reflection, and renewed inspiration — reminding us that connection is not a skill to master, but a practice to return to.
