Growth Mindset: Growing it in the Workplace

"Growth mindset” is a popular development topic for many leaders, but a browser search on related learning exercises for adults will yield few results. This session is designed to fill that gap through shared experiences and creative energy. Participants will learn about a session developed at Deluxe, called “Growth Mindset Workout,” and even participate in sample of activities from the session. Then, similar to a case study, everyone will review the design and development of the course – and receive a copy of all classroom materials. Finally, small breakouts will discuss and share back additional ideas for building on what Deluxe launched. Everyone should leave with a list of potential ideas to use in the design and development of their own learning program on this subject! Joel presented this session in person at the Maise Learning Conference in 2019, covering in-person facilitation. Since then (given the world we live in now), he has adapted the class to virtual facilitation – thoughts on this will also be shared.

Experience first-hand what fixed and growth mindsets sound like in your own subconscious

• Increase “possibility thinking” around what it takes to grow this capacity in yourself and others

• Create a list of potential ideas for the design and development of practical exercises on this topic
