As trainers and facilitators your goal is to take command of the room, show enthusiasm for your content and keep learners captivated. To accomplish this, you need to incorporate dynamic facilitation skills, strong body language and keep your attendees on track, on topic and on time.
During this 75-minute session, volunteers will receive personalized coaching to transform their facilitation skills. This provides a unique opportunity for individuals to see on-the-spot improvement. As others witness the transformation, they learn techniques to immediately implement on the job.
You will learn:
- Five qualities of a dynamic facilitator
- Facilitation techniques that work
- Three factors that influence an audience
- Tips to become a confident trainer, regardless of the topic or audience
- How to present your information in a relaxed and natural style
- A process to handle challenging questions with ease
This interactive, hands-on session will empower you to project confidence and conviction for your curriculum while motivating and engaging learners.
75-Minute Agenda
30 Minutes will be lecture (with activity)
- Top five qualities of a dynamic facilitator
- Three factors that influence an audience: Verbal, Visual, Vocal
- Introduce the six key physical skills: eye contact, square-up, walk and plant, gestures and hands, pause and breathe, vocal variety and intonation. Discuss best practices for these skills to look and sound dynamic.
30 Minutes will be volunteer (3-4 attendees)
- Sheri will take 3 volunteers to stand and present followed by personalized coaching for on the spot improvement
Remaining 15 minutes
- Process to handle challenging questions with ease
