Goal Setting for Learning Professionals

As talent professionals, most of us are in the process of defining our goals for 2023! The challenge for many is that goal writing for human performance goals is not as easy as say, financial or process goals. For example, some of our employees are remote and some are hybrid. How do we measure if this new workspace is working? Compounding this fact is that we have leaders who do not understand how to quantify results if they cannot see their people working daily.

Here's a few more that may resonate:

• Mental health is all over our radar, but how are we supposed to measure employee well-being when many of usd haven’t taken a day off in months?

• We have started to incorporate some elements of AI into our virtual, leadership development roadmaps, but what about onboarding?

• We already have plans to launch our quarterly Employee Engagement Survey, but we always struggle to craft measurable goals that address the survey results.

• What about our tenured employees? Shouldn’t we be trying to offer them upskill opportunities, especially since they are training all of the new hires?

If any of these sound familiar, you will want to join Heather White, Franklin Covey Senior Consultant, on February 8, as she guides a virtual discussion on how HR and TD professionals define measurable goals that drive human performance within your organizations. Heather led sales and operations teams for 20+ years where she set, executed, and measured goals daily. Most recently, Heather was a Franklin Covey client where she worked as an Organizational Development Manager for a local, Arizona municipality. Heather is a National ATD and SHRM member and attended both national conferences for the last several years. Heather has a passion for supporting all learners on their journey and she can’t wait to connect with you!
