Quest to Be Best: Pax8's Journey to the ATD Best Award

Tech startup Pax8 was recently recognized for earning the coveted ATD Best Award for 2021. It was not the company's first attempt. Lynn Leadley and J.B. McKoy from Pax8 University will share secrets of their success to help your talent development organization join the rants of the best Learn from the planning, execution, measurement and application process that led to their achievement. At the end of the session there will be a Q&A session.

Speakers:

Lynn Leadley
Senior Vice President of Pax8 University

Lynn has over 25 years of experience in the technology field, working for both startup companies and large corporations. As Senior Vice President of Pax8 University, Lynn is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading Pax8’s company-wide training and career development programs. Under her guidance, Pax8 University has evolved to include blended classroom and virtual learnings, leadership training and custom in-house created content. Through her leadership, new hires are onboarded and equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to be proficient in their roles. The education opportunities don’t stop there. Her team provides skills and leadership training as employees advance in their careers at Pax8. Lynn implemented an industry-leading learning management system (LMS), which includes curated self-paced courses and learning plans so employees can continually upskill and reskill to achieve optimal performance and productivity. In 2021, Pax8 was selected as an ATD BEST Award winner, recognizing Pax8 University’s impactful programs and best practices.

J.B. McKoy 
Manager of Learning Development 


J.B.’s diverse background includes marketing, sales, and systems engineering roles with technology companies ranging from small to Fortune 500. He also built and sold a successful business of his own and has been consulted to help develop the businesses of others. At Pax8, J.B. leads a team of instructional designers and curriculum developers who create custom eLearning courses empowering employees across the company with the skills and information necessary for high performance. He also oversees Pax8’s LMS administration function and works closely with relevant vendors to provide breadth of content and an excellent learner experience. A third area of responsibility addresses the design and delivery of technical sales training for every new product chosen as part of our technology offering. This encompasses not only a live vendor-led training but also the streamlined creation of an interactive course based on its content. J.B.’s analytical and writing skills helped ensure the success of Pax8’s application for the ATD Best Award. J.B. is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he majored in French and Computer Science.
