The Mentor Shift: Coaching Others to Utilize Mentoring as a Robust Development Tool

Does it sometimes seem like your clients and business partners send their people to trainings as the catch-all solution for talent development needs? Would you like to become an expert in coaching leaders to utilize other tools to evaluate developmental success? In this session you'll hear from mentoring expert, Lori Bachman, who will give you key tips on optimizing mentorships so that your individual stakeholders, teams and company won't just default to another training session to build up the organization. You will learn the value of infusing mentoring into your culture, and leave the session equipped, as a trusted advisor, with how to coach others on the most frequently asked mentoring questions: How do I find the right mentor for me? What do we do during our times together? How do I gracefully exit the relationship? and finally, How do I turn around and keep the mentoring ball rolling with someone new?

Have a question or current issue regarding mentorships? Email Lori ahead of time and she will address it during this session!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn how to successfully select mentors, get the most out of the experience and end the relationship gracefully.
  2. Become a trusted talent advisor to coach clients, leaders and employees on how to use this tool.
