ATD Rocky Mountain Chapter Partner Event

ATD Pikes Peak Chapter: Ready! Set! Go? Video and Audio Production

Description:

Now that you want video, how do you get it and edit it?

Video editing can be challenging and overwhelming if you haven't worked with it before. There are multiple pieces to consider, but once the basics are learned, it opens up opportunities to do more, and work with increasingly complex projects. In the world of talent development and instruction, we don't always know how to edit video, it's not necessarily a pre-requisite skill.

This session is an introductory survey of video editing for instructional purposes. Attendees will learn about basic editing techniques, terms, and concepts that will lay a foundation for greater effectiveness when they are asked to create a video project. Since there are lots of ways to edit video, and lots of different tools, we will focus on just editing on the desktop and use a video editor that is widely available. This will allow us to focus on the concepts of editing.

This 90-minute webinar will:

  • Expose you to several different types of video, audio, text, and other assets needed to create a video.
  • Learn various tips and techniques to help you become more skilled and efficient in creating your own video.

Presenter:

Matthew Pierce, Learning & Video Ambassador for TechSmith Corporation, is an advocate for using video for learning, marketing, and communicating.
