April 2015 - President's Message

Each month brings exciting programs and our attendance is increasing, plus we are forming more Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Our chapter is consistently growing and evolving in positive ways! You already know about our popular Facilitators Exchange SIG, and now we have more! We are developing an e-Learning SIG as well as a Mentoring SIG. If you have experience in either of these fields and would like to volunteer for these SIGs please email us at: programs@atdrmc.org. We'll be sending further information on our SIGs through our website, newsletters, and social media outlets.

ATD RMC also has a terrific partnership with the International Coach Federation's local chapter. Since coaching is closely related to the learning and development world, it is only natural that both of our organizations form a strong partnership focused on bringing you educational programs. If you are a chapter member of ATD RMC, you may register to attend an ICF event at a discounted price. Any ICF Colorado members can attend our events at a discounted price as well. It's a win-win partnership, so visit the ICF website and attend an event!

Our VP of Professional Development, Rachel Drysdale, works hard to bring you engaging programs every month with topics to suit all members. Our upcoming May event will be an interactive panel session on "The Science of Learning" moderated by our Past President, Becky Magnotta. In June, we have a program on e-Learning with e-Learning guru, Thomas Toth.

Last year, if you missed our mega networking event with the International Coach Federation-Colorado (ICF-Colorado) and the National Speakers Association (NSA), you'll have to be sure to join us at this event when we announce the date in the coming weeks.

Remember to check out our virtual programs too! Our March virtual event had more than 20 attendees and was a huge hit, so make sure you attend our interactive June 10th webinar on "Virtual Program Game Changers: Technology Trends in Learning & Development" with Amy Franko from Impact Instruction Group.

Check our website and social media outlets for our many exciting events and we look forward to seeing you there!
