Collaboration with the Rocky Mountain ADA Center
An invitation from Jill L. Bezyak, PhD, CRC, Licensed Psychologist, and Professor from the University of Northern Colorado:
The Rocky Mountain ADA Center has developed a new training for HR professionals on implicit bias towards individuals with disabilities and how it may impact employment opportunities. We are asking for your feedback to ensure it best meets the needs of HR professionals. We are conducting two focus groups to receive feedback on this training, and participants will be able to view the training prior to attending their designated focus group. Your participation and feedback will allow us to further improve the training. Previous experience or knowledge working with individuals with disabilities is not necessary to participate in this focus group.
There are two opportunities to participate in focus groups, which will both be held over Zoom.
- Wed. April 20th from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM
- Thurs. April 21st from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
All focus group participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card for their participation following completion of a brief demographic survey completed after the focus group.
If you are interested in participating in this focus group, please email jill.bezyak@unco.edu indicating your willingness to participate and which date you prefer to attend. At that time, I will send you the training to view and the Zoom link for the focus group.

This panel discussion will focus on how Instructional Designers can create influence, build a sense of community, and promote yourself when you are a party of one ID or part of a very small team. You will develop methods to create influence, and community during this discussion.
